Hi folks,
I guess you come here to learn the latest news about my comic. You may have followed my updates on Mastodon about the progress I made with planning and layouting chapter three of my webcomic.
I have laid out 41 pages of comic for chapter 3. This is more pages than the published parts of the comic combined, which sum up to 30 pages. This may look like an insurmountable task to draw all these pages and publish them in a timely manner (it sure did to me). After some well-deserved rest I looked again at the task at hand and tried to divide it up into workable tasks. I made a plan.
The problem with me and plans is, that I tend to make too strict plans and try to adhere to them despite my limitations and disabilities, beating myself up mentally when I fail to meet the unrealistic goals and expectations I set myself. So this time I try to make things differently. I don’t want to be a cause of bad mental health states any longer.
My current plan has a testing period of about a month (4 weeks to be precise) in which I want to have finished 5 pages of comic. This seems like a reasonable amount for me to accomplish, but it’s not a hard requirement. After these four weeks of testing I will see, how many pages I actually finished and project from there, how long it will take me to build a reasonable buffer of finished pages.
If all goes well, I’ll have about 30 pages done by the end of the year, which would be a great starting point for resuming a publishing schedule for my comic by the beginning of 2026. Depending on the pace of drawing I will have picked up by then, I consider releasing pages more frequently than I did with the previous chapters, but that is yet to be determined.
So much for my plans for my comic’s future. I’ll keep you in the loop with updates. See you here again in about 4 weeks.
Keep calm and wash your paws.
